About the role
As Arc's Build Engineer, you will own the transition of our commercial vessels from development to high-rate production. That means developing manufacturing processes and production tooling, driving design decisions that make our vessels easier to build, and optimizing production flow from first article through full rate. We're looking for someone fired up by the mission and ready to build. You'll thrive here if you move fast, take ownership, and care about the details.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, operations engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, or a related engineering discipline
- 1+ years of hands-on experience driving design, development, and manufacturing (internships, personal projects, and academic project team experience are applicable)
- Willingness to get hands-on building next-generation boats
- This is an active role that will require consistent physical activity including lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50 lbs including trailering and boarding onto water vessels as needed
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
