About the role
We're looking for a Technical Writer to build and maintain the documentation backbone of our manufacturing and engineering operations as we scale toward mass production. You'll work directly with production, engineering, and quality teams to turn tribal knowledge and in-progress processes into clear, consistent, and easy-to-follow documentation — work instructions, test procedures, troubleshooting guides, and engineering release notes.
What they're looking for
- Experience writing technical or process documentation in a manufacturing, hardware, automotive, aerospace, or similarly hands-on production environment
- Comfort working directly on the production floor — observing builds, interviewing technicians, and translating hands-on process knowledge into clear written and visual instructions
- Strong organizational instincts, you naturally think in terms of structure, version control, and findability, not just individual documents
- Experience with Notion and Linear (or similar knowledge-base tools) for building and organizing documentation systems
- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and production teams, and to keep documentation in sync as changes happen fast
- Clear, concise writing — you can make a complex process understandable to someone seeing it for the first time
More about this role
Atoms is building the machines that power the next era of progress.
Over the last decade, software has transformed the digital world. But the physical world, where food is made, minerals are mined, goods are moved, and industries are run, remains far less intelligent, far less efficient, and far more constrained. We’re changing that.
Atoms builds Physical AI— real-world robots for the industries that move civilization forward, starting with food, mining, and transport. Our systems are designed to understand, predict, and control the real world with precision, turning complex physical operations into something more reliable, more scalable, and more productive.
This work requires more than robotics. It requires deep integration across hardware, software, AI, operations, manufacturing, and real estate. We don’t just build machines in a lab. We deploy them into real environments, operate them, learn from them, and improve them until they work at scale.
We are roboticists, engineers, operators, and builders. We believe the next great technology companies will not only transform information, but the physical systems that shape everyday life.
