About the role
Since Axiom Space is a very complex work environment, we are looking for a passionate, high-energy Systems Engineering Intern who is eager to learn from and be mentored by experienced systems engineers. This role supports systems engineering activities — including requirements definition, interface management, system architecture, and verification and validation planning — across Axiom's spaceflight hardware and ground systems programs.
What they're looking for
- Rising Junior, Senior, or Graduate student (MS/MA or Ph.D.) pursuing a degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Coursework or project experience related to systems engineering principles (requirements, architecture, verification) is a plus
- Exposure to requirements management or MBSE tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama, Cameo) through coursework or personal projects is a plus
- Familiarity with basic engineering analysis or modeling tools (e.g., MATLAB) preferred
- Prior internship, co-op, or hands-on project experience (e.g., design team, robotics club) is a plus
