About the role
As Bedrock scales deployments nationwide, every machine has to be reliably built, provisioned, calibrated, updated, monitored, and kept healthy. Fleet Engineering builds the platforms and internal tools that teams across the company use to manage our growing fleet of autonomous machines.
What they're looking for
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on building experience
- Ability to design and build full-stack software applications
- Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language (Python, Rust, C++, TypeScript, etc.)
- Product sense: you'd rather ship the useful version than the elegant one
- Comfort working with ambiguity and defining your own scope
- Clear communication with teams outside engineering. Your users may operate excavators, repair hardware in the field, or work directly with customers
