About the role
The Computational Design Engineer will connect generative methods and optimization to aircraft geometry, physics models and manufacturing constraints. The role supports aircraft development while building methods, evidence, and reusable capability for broader Advanced Systems teams and partners. This position will be based onsite at our South Burlington, VT office location, our Raleigh, NC office. What they're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in systems, aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering, or a related field
- Three or more years of relevant engineering or complex-product experience
- Experience with requirements, interfaces, architecture, configuration, verification or multidisciplinary product integration
- Ability to structure and maintain traceable technical information and drive cross-functional actions to closure
- Working knowledge of aircraft development, safety, configuration control and design-review practices
- Ability to communicate technical assumptions, limitations, risks, and recommendations clearly and work effectively across disciplines
