About the role
The Composites Design Engineer will develop composite primary and secondary structure for an advanced narrowbody aircraft through conceptual and preliminary design. The role integrates structural design, preliminary analysis, material and process selection, joints, producibility, inspection, durability, and repair considerations. What they're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Five or more years of composite structural design or closely related aerospace product-development experience
- Proficiency with CATIA, 3DEXPERIENCE, or a comparable CAD environment
- Knowledge of prepreg, infusion, sandwich construction, bonded and bolted joints, composite failure modes, and manufacturing controls
- Experience taking composite hardware through design, analysis, build, inspection, and test support
- Must be a US Person to be considered for the role
