About the role
We are seeking a mechanical engineer to join the New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineering team. This role is part of a cross-functional team and will be responsible for leading the development of new manufacturing processes from initial conceptualization through low-rate initial production. It requires that the team member develop an intimate understanding of the aircraft system requirements to effectively develop and implement materials and/or processes that solve for the goals of the business.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or another engineering field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, or high-rate production
- Strong background in new product introduction (NPI)
- Experience in scaling production, integrating new products, and driving cost reduction
- Knowledge of automation and advanced production technologies
- Experience with GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, and metrology tools for precision manufacturing
