About the role
The Senior Revenue Accountant is a critical executor role responsible for applying ASC 606 revenue recognition standards across complex SaaS subscription and usage-based billing scenarios. You will use AI tools to accelerate contract analysis and variance investigation while focusing your expertise on evaluating transaction substance, identifying revenue recognition risks, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
What they're looking for
- • 4+ years of experience in revenue accounting, ASC 606 revenue recognition, or related technical accounting roles (public company, Big 4, or growth-stage SaaS preferred)
- • Deep understanding of ASC 606 standards and ability to evaluate transaction substance and identify revenue recognition complexities
- • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex accounting concepts clearly to non- finance stakeholders
- • Meticulous attention to detail, with strong skills in identifying discrepancies and supporting corrections
- • Ability to escalate appropriately to management, knowing when issues require judgment calls beyond individual execution
- • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to accelerate personal workflows (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, document analysis tools)
