About the role
Black Ore is seeking a Technical Tax Specialist to join our Information Architecture team and serve as a tax domain expert for the design of AI-driven tax software. In this role, you will collaborate with CPA’s, architects, engineers, and AI experts to deliver the next generation of AI-enabled innovation for financial services. What they're looking for
- Translate tax rules, regulatory guidance, and accounting concepts into structured data models, business rules, and computational logic
- Research complex tax and regulatory guidance from authoritative sources to define requirements, taxonomies, rule sets, and integration workflows for tax automation
- Explain complex tax and accounting concepts to non-CPA technical stakeholders
- Use AI automation tools to accelerate delivery of models and implementation artifacts
- CPA with minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting or tax technology
- Experience supporting end-to-end tax preparation, including preparation of workpapers, review and filing of 1040, 1065, and fiduciary returns
