About the role
Block’s Business Resilience is part of the Security Governance Risk and Compliance team. The Business Resilience helps ensure that critical products, services, operations, and supporting technology can continue through disruption and recover within expected timeframes. The team partners across business, technology, risk, compliance, legal, regional entities, and third-party teams to identify resilience risks, validate recovery capabilities, support governance expectations, and drive practical remediation. What they're looking for
- 6+ years of experience operating or improving global resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, or related risk programs, ideally in financial services or regulated technology
- Strong project management, organizational, and partnership skills, with the ability to manage deadlines and dependencies and drive cross-functional follow-through without direct authority
- Excellent communication and analytical judgment, with the ability to translate complex risks and requirements into practical actions for technical, business, executive, and Board-level audiences
- Comfort using AI, automation, data analysis, and reporting tools, with the ability to learn and administer new platforms, document processes, and translate stakeholder needs into workflow improvements
- A relevant professional certification, such as those from DRI International or the Business Continuity Institute, or equivalent practical experience
