AI Takeoff and Estimate Software. Backed by Pear VC.
About the role
You'll work on the hardest UI problem we have: rendering large construction drawings and dense estimate tables without friction. Think canvas rendering, pan/zoom performance, and tables with hundreds of rows that still feel instant. You don't need prior experience with canvas or data-dense interfaces — you need strong React/TypeScript fundamentals, real product taste, and to be a fast learner ready to go deep on a problem most junior roles never touch.
What they're looking for
- Strong React and modern CSS skills — you can build complex layouts and interactions without reaching for a library every time
- Real design sense — you notice when spacing, hierarchy, or motion is off, and you fix it without being asked
- Comfortable working from rough product direction — can fill the gap between a mock and a shippable feature
- Fluent in TypeScript, component architecture, and frontend state management
- High ownership mindset — you don't wait to be told what to fix
- Fast learner who can navigate unfamiliar systems and tools quickly
