Our first prototype is being assembled right now , we're standing up the production facility in parallel, and we're hiring the person who will build the supplier base that keeps that ramp on schedule. What they're looking for
- Develop, align, and execute comprehensive commodity strategies to meet Boom's long-term supply chain objectives and effectively partner with stakeholders to inform and influence executive-level decisions
- Gain a deep understanding of the supply base, fabrication and assembly processes, materials, lead times, global trends and dynamics, emerging technologies, and other nuances to enable proactive decision-making
- Evaluate global supply chain risks and develop robust contingency plans to support Boom's production ramp
- Ensure Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements, develop long term agreements aligning supply with business needs
- Own supplier relationships end-to-end — establishing performance metrics and scorecards, resolving disputes, and running periodic business reviews — to keep cost, quality, and delivery on track
- Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders, understanding their needs and consulting with them to build quality procurement strategies aligned to business requirements

Boom is seeking a world-class Global Supply Manager (GSM) to own the end-to-end sourcing and supply chain strategy for metals (alloy, castings, forgings), precision machined parts, electrical & controls, supporting systems, etc. (commodity). The role requires close partnerships with third parties such as partners and suppliers. This role will collaborate closely with planning, engineering, finance, and legal teams,& logistics, and demands strong quantitative and analytical skills, critical thinking, the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, and quickly get up to speed on technical topics, especially manufacturing processes.
