About the role
The Accounting Manager will own day-to-day accounting operations, support the month-end close process, and prepare clinical trial accruals for our fast-moving clinical-stage biotechnology company. Reporting to the Senior Director, Controller, this hands-on role will support internal controls, financial reporting, system implementations, and collaboration with finance, clinical operations, external vendors, and other cross-functional partners as Braveheart Bio continues to scale.
What they're looking for
- 5+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with publicly traded, pre-IPO, or clinical stage biotech/life sciences companies preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- Deep technical accounting knowledge (US GAAP), including R&D accruals and clinical trial accounting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of public company requirements, internal controls (SOX), and cross-functional alignment
- Experience supporting Big 4 or national firm audits
