Bridge Neurotech is building a non-invasive interface for the mind. Our aim is to image the brain's activity using ultrasound without surgery or other modifications to the body. First research study enrolling in Redwood City, California. Backed by General Catalyst.
About the role
We are looking for a PhD student in neuroscience or a related field to join Bridge for a six-month internship or co-op. You will work alongside our imaging scientists, software engineers, and research collaborators on the work at the center of our platform: turning raw functional ultrasound acquisitions into validated scientific insight. Found on 1752vc Careers, the job board for startup and VC roles.
What they're looking for
- Currently enrolled in a PhD program in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, data science, or a closely related field
- Available full time for six months
- First principles thinking
- Hands-on experience with neuroimaging data (fMRI, fUSI, EEG, or similar modalities), including processing and analysis
- Strong Python skills with scientific computing libraries (NumPy, SciPy, pandas, matplotlib, or similar)
- Experience building reproducible analysis pipelines, ideally with standardized formats such as BIDS
More about this role
Bridge Neurotech is building a non-invasive functional ultrasound imaging (fUSI) platform with AI-based neural decoding for brain-computer interface applications. We are a seed-stage neurotechnology company developing technology that has the potential to transform how we interact with the human brain.

This is a hands-on, interdisciplinary role. You will help design experiments, collect and organize data from our research study, build analysis pipelines, and analyze neuroimaging data with our collaborating neuroscientists and clinicians. It suits someone who is as comfortable at a study session as they are writing Python to process the data it produces.
Help design and run data collection for our research study, including on-site acquisition sessions with research participants.
