What they're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in CS, ECE, or EE and 2+ years of related experience, or
  • Master’s degree in CS, ECE, or EE
  • Strong programming skills in C (and assembly language is desirable)
  • Working knowledge of embedded processors - ARM
  • Experience using AI/LLM based tools within an embedded firmware workflow, such as AI coding assistants for code generation, review and debugging, AI-assisted test-case generation and AI-assisted documentation

Broadcom's Data Center Solutions Group (DCSG) is seeking a skilled Firmware Engineer to join our embedded storage systems development team. In this role, you will design, implement, and debug low-level firmware for storage controllers, with a primary focus on RAID (Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks) functionality on ARM based microprocessors. You will work across the full development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver product features aligned with customer requirements.

Develop new features and maintain firmware for storage products

Support product solution validation and firmware release activities

Gather and analyze logs to root cause and resolve functional, performance and data integrity issues

Participate in storage product feature design and implementation reviews
