What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, CPA strongly preferred, 6+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience (Big 4 plus industry preferred)
- Deep technical expertise in U.S. GAAP and ASC 606, with demonstrated experience evaluating complex customer contracts, non-standard deal structures, and revenue recognition judgments
- Track record owning revenue close activities with increasing scope, speed, and accuracy, plus strong project ownership leading ambiguous or cross-functional initiatives
- Excellent written and verbal communicator who partners effectively with Sales, Deal Desk, Legal, Product, RevOps, FP&A, and Engineering — translating technical accounting conclusions for non-technical stakeholders
- An A-player mindset with a strong bias for action: you raise the bar, move with urgency, stay resilient through ambiguity, and take ownership to deliver meaningful outcomes

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting and based in San Francisco, CA or Denver, CO, you'll play a strategic, highly visible role within Checkr's Finance Operations (FinOps) organization — shaping how deals are structured and new revenue models come to market while ensuring alignment with ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP.
