About the role
CoreWeave runs some of the largest GPU-based Kubernetes clusters, for the most sophisticated users, in the world. As a Senior Specialist Field Engineer for Kubernetes, you'll help customers run training and inference on those clusters, and get the most out of the control plane, the scheduler, and the operators that run them. You'll work closely with the product and engineering teams, and what you learn in the field will help shape what they build. Found on 1752vc Careers, the job board for startup and VC roles.
What they're looking for
- B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years building or operating large-scale distributed systems, as a platform, systems, or software engineer, or in a deeply technical Kubernetes-focused field role
- Have written and run Kubernetes operators or controllers in production, in Go or Rust, using CRDs to extend the API
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes internals: the API server, etcd, the scheduler, and the various controllers, and how they work together
- Solid working knowledge of admission control and policy (validating and mutating webhooks, Kyverno or similar), RBAC, and ServiceAccounts
- Hands-on experience with Helm, GitOps delivery (Argo CD or Flux), and observability with Prometheus and OpenTelemetry
