About the role
Crafty is seeking an Accounting Manager, AP + Partner Billing to lead the accounting operations supporting Accounts Payable, Partner Billing, and related month-end close activities. This role is responsible for designing scalable operating processes, strengthening financial controls, overseeing outsourced accounting operations, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of partner billing and disbursement activities.

- Controls Mindset: Designs and enforces segregation of duties, approval workflows, payment controls, vendor setup review, exception management, and audit-ready documentation
- Executive Communication: Communicates clearly with vendors, partners, executive stakeholders, internal teams, and leadership, owns escalations through resolution and documents decisions
- Operational Rigor: Manages daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc responsibilities without losing sight of controls, close deadlines, SLAs, and stakeholder experience
- 5–8+ years of accounting experience, with direct ownership of AP-related accruals, reconciliations, close activities, and financial statement accuracy
- Experience managing or directly overseeing AP, vendor payments, payment approvals, and high-volume invoice workflows
- Experience leading outsourced or shared-service teams through KPIs, QA routines, weekly reviews, documented expectations, and performance remediation
