About the role

Databricks is looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant to join our team. You will report to the Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting and play a hands-on role in the full accounting close cycle for revenue recognition — from executing on non-standard contract terms identified by Revenue Assurance, to performing UATs on new system logic, to preparing financial reporting deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.

What they're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting
  • 5+ years of combined experience in public accounting and/or a corporate revenue accounting role
  • Solid understanding of ASC 606 and complex revenue recognition principles, with the ability to apply judgment to non-standard arrangements
  • Operational accounting experience at a rapidly growing company, including familiarity with quote-to-cash processes (order review, contract creation, billing, revenue recognition)
  • Hands-on and detail-oriented — comfortable pulling reports, tracing transactions through systems and validating outputs at the source
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal supervision, prioritize effectively and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines
