About the role

Disc Medicine is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company committed to discovering, developing, and commercializing novel treatments for patients who suffer from serious hematologic diseases. We are building a portfolio of innovative, first-in-class therapeutic candidates that aim to address a wide spectrum of hematologic diseases by targeting fundamental biological pathways of red blood cell biology, specifically heme biosynthesis and iron homeostasis.

What they're looking for

  • Advanced scientific or clinical degree required (MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 10-12 years of Medical Affairs or related pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience
  • Hematology/oncology experience required, expertise in myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs), myelofibrosis, anemia, or related hematologic disorders strongly preferred
  • Experience developing and executing Medical Affairs strategies within a biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment
  • Experience engaging hematology KOLs, leading advisory boards, and facilitating scientific exchange
  • Experience supporting evidence generation initiatives, including RWE, HEOR, or clinical research collaborations preferred

The Senior Director, Medical Affairs Strategy will be responsible for developing and executing the Medical Affairs strategy for Disc Medicine’s myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN) portfolio, with an initial focus on selcodebart (DISC-0974) in myelofibrosis-associated anemia and future pipeline opportunities including DISC-3405 in polycythemia vera (PV).
