About Eagle

The engineers who could design the next century of roads, bridges, and housing are buried in paperwork. Eagle builds tools to dig them out. Backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners.

About the role

As a Design Engineer , you'll work directly with the CTO to own how that intelligence becomes something engineers actually trust and use. The hard part isn't only modeling the data—it's making non-deterministic, agentic systems legible to people who have never worked with a software company before. You own the surface where that trust is won or lost. Found on 1752vc Careers, the job board for startup and VC roles.

More about this role

Eagle is on a mission to re-energize the engineering profession. Every road, bridge, and building starts at an engineering firm. There are 40K+ of them in the US, and most run on software older than the engineers using it.

This legacy toolset was designed before the term "user experience" ever existed and it's demotivating, error-prone, and slow. We're building the iron man suit for civil engineers to pull them out of this tedium and get them back to designing the future of our built environment.

Eagle was founded by Mayank Mardia (CEO), Sohum Daftary (President), and Thomas Shouler, P.E. (CTO), and is backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners.

You own the surface where that trust is won or lost. You get a front-row seat to building a company from zero—engaging with product strategy, firm acquisitions, and architecture decisions—on a problem domain that's barely been touched by AI.
