About the role
We are seeking a Staff Power Systems Engineer to develop connection specifications between Electric Hydrogen's power systems and medium-voltage utility grids. In this role, you will manage all aspects of electrical installation design, including reviewing third-party EPC designs and performing internal design work.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 10+ years of professional experience working with electrical power systems
- Experience designing large industrial power systems within EPC environments, including petrochemical, oil and gas, renewable energy, or power generation projects
- Experience with utility interconnection design and medium-voltage power distribution systems
- Strong knowledge of power system protection analysis and implementation
- Experience with medium-voltage systems, substation design, and SCADA systems

In this role, you will manage all aspects of electrical installation design, including reviewing third-party EPC designs and performing internal design work. You will conduct power systems analyses using modeling and simulation software to evaluate real-world system characteristics, including load flow, short circuit performance, transient stability, harmonic behavior, active linear loads, and other operational characteristics. You will also play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient integration of Electric Hydrogen systems into utility and industrial power networks.
You will work onsite in San Jose, CA and report to the Director, Power Platform.
