About the role

What they're looking for
- Experience: 6+ years in product management, with meaningful time spent on technical or platform products. You've owned complex backend systems end to end and shipped products that other teams and customers depend on
- Bonus Points: Direct experience in payments, credit cards, or fintech, with hands-on exposure to payment acceptance, card issuing, or related systems like authorization, settlement, and reconciliation
- Technical Depth: Comfort going deep with engineering on architecture, tradeoffs, and system design. You can hold your own in a technical review and turn ambiguity into a crisp plan
- Systems Thinking: You can build cross functional systems from zero and scale them with a long term lens. You zoom out to strategy and zoom in to execution with equal comfort
- Customer Obsession: Even on a platform, you keep the end customer in view. You know that infrastructure decisions eventually show up in the customer experience, and you design for that
- Mindset: You're a builder at heart, hands on, collaborative, and excited to help scale one of Engine's most important platforms
