About the role
Join Esri`s Professional Services team and help design and deliver mission critical geospatial data platforms that support national security. In this role, you will work directly with mission focused organizations to architect, deploy, and optimize enterprise data environments that power ArcGIS-driven systems. You will operate across complex, secure infrastructures, combining system engineering and data engineering expertise to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.
What they're looking for
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in database design, administration, and optimization for Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or SAP HANA
- Demonstrated experience with database design principles, data loading techniques, backup and recovery solutions, performance monitoring and tuning, database maintenance, and security
- Scripting skills in SQL and Python for automation and data workflows
- Experience with cloud-based database solutions (such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database)
- Understanding of geospatial concepts such as spatial data types, coordinate systems, and spatial indexing
- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to technical peers and non-technical project managers or customers
