About the role
The Assistant Vice President, Senior Reserving Actuary is responsible for leading and executing actuarial reserving analyses for multiple Property & Casualty lines of business. This position plays a critical role in evaluating reserve adequacy, supporting financial reporting, and providing actionable insights to senior management.
What they're looking for
- Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) designation or equivalent level of actuarial expertise
- 10+ years of actuarial experience, including significant Property & Casualty reserving experience
- Strong understanding of U.S. P&C reserving methodologies, regulatory requirements, and actuarial standards of practice
- Experience supporting commercial and/or personal lines insurance portfolios
- Demonstrated experience analyzing complex reserve indications and communicating findings to senior management
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and actuarial reserving software such as ResQ, Arius, SAS, R, or equivalent tools
