About the role
This role will apply principles and techniques of mechanical engineering for the design and development of mechanical equipment and sub-systems including concept development, specification of mechanical loads, component selection, materials of construction, and tolerances. Create engineering drawings and technical documents. Resolve technical conflicts. Develops, manages and adheres to projects schedules and budgets. Verify equipment performance against design specifications.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3-8 of experience
- Working knowledge of: fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, statics and dynamics, heat transfer, materials science, mechanical design
- Proficiency with CAD and Solidworks
- Demonstrated computer skills preferably in Microsoft Office
- Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar methodologies)
- Strong project management skills, including managing multiple projects, contractors, and capital equipment installations

This role will apply principles and techniques of mechanical engineering for the design and development of mechanical equipment and sub-systems including concept development, specification of mechanical loads, component selection, materials of construction, and tolerances. Create engineering drawings and technical documents. Resolve technical conflicts. Develops, manages and adheres to projects schedules and budgets. Verify equipment performance against design specifications. Assignments will range from small scope designs to multi-plant, site project dependent upon the level. Higher levels may have direct responsibility for managing the activities of other Engineers and/or technicians. Generates hazardous waste, labels containers and meets other container storage requirements and transport them to less than 90 day storage.
1st Shift: 7:00am - 4:30pm Monday through Thursday and 7:00am to 11:00am, Friday. Work hours are subject to change based on business needs.
