About the role
Flai is growing quickly, and we're hiring a senior full-stack engineer to own major parts of our product. You'll work directly with the founders, ship to production every week, and build features that dealerships across the country use every day. As you learn our customers and the business, you'll help set the roadmap for your area. Own major parts of the product: Take core features from design through launch, then keep them running well. - Strong Generalist: You're excellent on the front end or the back end, and happy to work anywhere in the stack
- Product-Minded: You know when to move fast and when to slow down, and you don't need a detailed spec to get started
- Comfortable With Customers: You'd rather hear about a problem from the person who has it than read about it in a ticket
- An Owner: You take responsibility for what you ship. You watch how it performs in production, jump in when something breaks, and keep improving it long after launch
- A Shipper: Startup or big tech, you've built something yourself and gotten it out the door
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience

A $1.3 trillion industry, auto dealerships sell 96% of the 16 million new cars sold each year. Yet they universally run on outdated systems and manual processes, which is why dealerships spend $36B each year on operations. That's our opportunity.
We launched our first voice AI product a year ago. Since then, we have deployed multiple products across hundreds of dealerships across the U.S. We've partnered with the 2nd largest automaker in the country and many of the leading dealership groups. We've raised funding from leading VCs including First Round Capital, Toyota Ventures, Y Combinator, Innovation Endeavors, SV Angel, and Liquid 2.
We've grown insanely quickly with a small, scrappy team and continue to move at that pace.
