The Advising and Academic Services Coordinator works closely with the TRIO grant project participants to develop and implement individualized academic plans. This staff member monitors students’ academic progress through graduation, provides guidance on course requirements, provides academic skills support and provides information and advice regarding financial literacy. The Advising and Academic Services Coordinator assists the Director in recruiting and selecting participants who meet eligibility requirements and follows data collection requirements for the Annual Performance Report (APR). This position works full-time for 9.5 months (off contract June, July and returns August 15th).
- Review students’ program application information, financial need, academic need, assist with interviewing project participants, and make recommendations for selection to the grant Director.
