About the role
Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture issues.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
- 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function
- Experience executing full-cycle FP&A functions including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling within a multinational company setting
- Experience with SQL

- Manage the Profit and Loss (P&L) for the Google Compute Engine product portfolio, providing in-depth analysis to optimize financial performance.
- Manage product strategy through monthly and quarterly gross margin reviews and financial forecasting.
- Partner with Product Management and Finance teams to drive business decisions, including product roadmap prioritization, internal and external pricing, and optimizing customer discounts.
- Support Go-To-Market (GTM) initiatives and New Product Introductions (NPI) by conducting unit economics analyses and Profit and Loss impact assessments in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Align Capital Expenditure (CapEx) and Operating Expenditure (OpEx) investments with demand and contribute to efficient resource allocations by partnering with Capacity and Product Finance teams.
