About the role
Working closely with partners and leadership across Google's Controllership, Finance, Sales, Product, Legal, and Marketing teams, you will ensure that the policies and processes used for Google's commitments to external partners are effective and efficient, that riskiest and most costly commitments have executive cross-functional leadership support, and that Google is managing risk smartly across the business.

- 7 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 5 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance

- Design and govern cross-functional spend workflows for real estate and infrastructure commitments, collaborating across Finance, Legal, and Product to enforce sound compliance.
- Influence executive leadership to address control framework gaps and develop scalable governance solutions.
- Identify and implement scalable process improvements, automating manual workflows and eliminating bespoke systems.
- Author, vet, and roll out cross-functional spend policies, leading targeted training for negotiation and commitment teams.
- Partner with functional stakeholders to test, optimize, and enforce spend authorization controls across contracting platforms, leveraging creative data metrics to drive executive decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
