- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, with a focus on building systems in C++, Go, or Java
- 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture in a production environment
- Experience with low-level systems programming on Linux or other Unix-like operating systems

- Design, implement, and maintain the highly reliable sandbox environments that power Cloud Run, Google App Engine, and Cloud Functions.
- Improve the performance, reliability, and feature set of virtual machine interfaces related to storage, networking, memory management, and process interactions.
- Apply software principles and systems programming (primarily in C++ and Go) to optimize code paths and implement core execution features.
- Debug systems issues, understand root causes, and build resilient solutions.
- Contribute to the ongoing convergence and modernization of the underlying platform capabilities across the Google Cloud Serverless portfolio.
