- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 8 years of experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++ or Python
- 5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture
- Experience with GPU programming (CUDA, OpenCL) and optimization techniques

- Provide technical leadership on projects.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large-scale software solutions.
- Improve BigQuery engine to remove bottlenecks for low latency queries, design solutions that are easy to maintain and extend.
- Work with BigQuery and Dremel codebase, which is primarily C++ with some Java in data planes and Python for tests.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
