About the role

We are looking for a computer engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science student or recent graduate to join the BMC Development team as a Firmware Engineering Intern. You will work with experienced engineers on low-level and embedded firmware that supports the operation, control, and manageability of advanced compute systems.

What they're looking for

  • Academic, personal, or project experience developing embedded software or firmware
  • Experience with microcontrollers, embedded processors, system-level firmware, or hardware bring-up
  • Experience using lab equipment or conducting hardware-based engineering experiments
  • Experience with automated testing or scripting in Python
  • Familiarity with Git or another version-control system
  • Awareness of continuous integration and delivery practices
