About Hadrian

Hadrian is rebuilding America’s industrial strength, rapidly scaling our country’s manufacturing output through advanced software, automation, and human skill. Backed by a16z, Founders Fund and Lux.

About the role

In this role, you’ll translate the structural needs of our production equipment into real, permitted, built facilities. A large part of your work will be designing the foundations – concrete slab, equipment foundations, piles, and steel support structures – that carry our heavy and precision machinery. You’ll work directly with equipment OEMs to intake loads, anchoring, vibration, and tolerance requirements and turn them into engineered foundation drawings. Found on 1752vc Careers, the job board for startup and VC roles.

What they're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field
  • Professional licensure (PE preferred), or clear progress toward it, SE license a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in structural or building-systems design
  • Experience designing for new manufacturing or production facilities, ideally in environments with engineering and production complexity comparable to Hadrian’s
  • Experience designing concrete foundations and equipment foundations – slab-on-grade, pads, pedestals, and anchorage for heavy or precision equipment
  • Working knowledge of structural codes and standards (e.g., IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC 360) and foundation design for industrial facilities
