About the role
System Development & Architecture: Lead and contribute to the mechanical design and integration of new systems and payloads, including structures, enclosures, mounts and overall system packaging. Support electrical integration by defining mechanical interfaces, routing paths and mounting solutions. Mechanical Design: Create detailed SolidWorks models, assemblies and drawings for structures, housings, brackets, mounts and mechanisms built for marine environments. - Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical, electrical and software engineers to specify, design, build, test and integrate mechanical subsystems and electromechanical components such as actuators, motors and power distribution hardware
- Documentation: Produce and maintain accurate CAD drawings, bills of materials, interface control documents (ICDs), test results and configuration management records
- Manufacturing & Production Support: Partner with technicians and manufacturing teams to make sure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, serviceable and built for rugged marine environments
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design and system integration

About the Role
We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering team. The role is mechanical first: you'll also work with electrical systems, but mainly through integration and interfaces. You'll support new system development, payload integration and subsystem design for our uncrewed surface vessels. You'll work closely with electrical and software engineers to deliver hardware that is robust, manufacturable and ready for the field.
