About the role
We’re looking for an exceptional Engineering Manager to lead one of our Backend engineering teams at Healthie. This role offers a unique opportunity to guide a high-impact team responsible for the scalability, reliability, and performance of Healthie's most critical systems -- including billing, insurance, and payments infrastructure -- ensuring our platform continues to meet the needs of providers, patients, and partners as we grow.

- Technically strong: able to engage in architectural discussions and guide engineers through complex challenges
- A proven leader: experienced in managing engineering teams, driving execution, and building trusted relationships
- Focused on people and systems: equally committed to supporting engineer growth and building robust, scalable infrastructure
- Collaborative: effective at partnering across teams and ensuring alignment to company goals
- Experienced: 8+ years as a software engineer and 2+ years leading teams, ideally in SaaS, healthcare tech experience a plus
- Technical: Strong hands-on experience with our stack — Rails, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Postgres, Redis, Sidekiq, RSpec, and Capybara — plus a broad foundation in distributed systems and cloud infrastructure
