About the role

The hourly rate listed for this internship is intended as a general guideline. Final compensation will be determined based on degree level.

What they're looking for

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with both software development and hardware integration through internships, coursework, research, projects, or competition teams
  • Familiarity with networking TCP/UDP, Ethernet
  • Programming experience in C++, Python, or a similar language
  • Experience working with embedded systems, electronics, avionics, sensors, networking, or other hardware-connected systems
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across hardware and software interfaces

The Mission Systems Engineering Team develops and integrates the hardware and software that enable Hermeus aircraft to execute missions.

As a Mission Systems Engineering Intern, you will work across avionics, software, communications, and system integration to help build, test, and troubleshoot mission capabilities. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mix of hands-on hardware experience and software development skills.

Spring: Around 16 weeks (January - April)

Summer: Around 12 weeks (May - August)

  • Support integration and testing of mission hardware, software, sensors, radios, processors, and avionics systems.
