About the role
HOF Capital seeks a Vice President of Finance to assume senior ownership of the accounting, reporting and administration of the firm’s fund and SPV complex, comprising five diversified funds and approximately 100 special purpose and co-investment vehicles. The role reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
What they're looking for
- · Eight or more years of combined experience across public accounting and fund finance within private equity, venture capital or a comparable investment management environment
- · Comprehensive command of the profit and loss statement and balance sheet of a private investment fund, from acquisition through unrealized marks, realized gains, fee allocations, carried interest and capital account reconciliation
- · Strong technical grounding in partnership accounting mechanics, including income and loss allocation, waterfall construction, preferred return and catch up provisions
- · Demonstrated ownership of an annual audit as the principal internal point of accountability
- · Working knowledge of partnership taxation, including Schedule K-1, Schedule K-2 and K-3, and non United States investor withholding requirements
- · Command of ASC 946 and ASC 820, including fair value hierarchy classification and net asset value practical expedient reporting

Alongside the reporting cycle, the role is expected to lead the firm’s finance initiatives, including real time firmwide reporting on assets under management and carried interest, and fund level cash availability and dry powder analysis.
HOF Capital is a venture and growth equity firm with approximately $14 billion in regulatory assets under management, investing across artificial intelligence, space, defense technology, frontier technology and enterprise software. The platform comprises HOF Capital Strategic Opportunities Fund I and Fund II, together with approximately 100 special purpose and co-investment vehicles.
· Own the quarterly and annual reporting cycle across both flagship funds and the full SPV complex, including net asset value packages, capital account statements, management fee calculations and carried interest allocations.
