About the role
We’re looking for a Product Engineer to help us build the smallest, smartest back office in fintech. At Karat, we believe great internal systems — powered by automation, AI, and thoughtful UX — can replace layers of manual ops. This is a high-leverage, highly autonomous role for someone who loves building internal tools that feel like magic: fast, reliable, and deeply impactful.
What they're looking for
- 1-3+ years of experience as a software engineer, product engineer, or technical generalist
- Strong coding skills in JavaScript/TypeScript (React + Node preferred)
- Comfort working across the stack and owning products end-to-end
- Experience building internal tools, automation systems, or operational platforms
- Excitement about shipping practical AI/LLM use cases that drive real outcomes
- Strong product intuition and bias toward impact and speed
