What they're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- Hands-on experience with PLC platforms and industrial communication protocols: Ethernet/IP, Modbus (TCP and RTU), PROFINET, or equivalent
- Practical proficiency with Git/GitHub, Python scripting, and Linux command-line fundamentals
- Undergraduate coursework or equivalent demonstrated knowledge in networking fundamentals: IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, DNS, NTP, and TCP/IP stack
- Comfortable getting hands dirty to debug data-flow problems — you understand what a network trace tells you and you know how to follow a packet
- Portfolio of projects (academic, personal, or professional) demonstrating proficiency in networking, systems integration, debugging, or problem-solving
