About the role
You will design and build the front-end experiences learners use every day: the one-to-one learning experience itself, from a learner's first session to mastery. You sit at the intersection of product design and front-end engineering: close enough to design to know what makes an interface feel right, and close enough to the code to ship it.
What they're looking for
- - AI-native: you default to AI-assisted design and coding and building automations in everything you do, you have an appetite for and record of experimenting with the newest AI tools for design and engineering
- - A portfolio of shipped products where you designed the interface and built it yourself, and can walk us through the decisions on both sides
- - Strong product design craft: typography, layout, color, motion, and the interaction judgment to make a complex product feel simple
- - Strong front-end engineering: TypeScript, React or similar, CSS at a systems level, animation, accessibility, and performance, comfort owning front-end systems end to end in production
- - Consumer product sensibility: you understand what makes a product something people come back to, and you sweat the details users can't name but always feel
