About the role
As a Senior Software Engineer on Picksy Services, you'll take ownership of solution design and implementation for scalable, highly available services, while mentoring other engineers and helping shape the team's technical direction. You'll work closely with product owners, designers, and fellow engineers to translate requirements into prototypes and world-class features, and you'll be a go-to voice on architecture decisions and best practices across the team.
What they're looking for
- 5+ years of relevant professional technology experience
- You have practical knowledge of modern development techniques and trends, and you are eager to continue learning. You have:
- Demonstrated deep understanding of REST, service architecture, monitoring, and the tenets of horizontal scalability
- Experience developing complex and highly available services running in a production environment with SLAs
- Extensive knowledge of object-oriented and functional software design patterns, including those commonly used within large web application platforms
- Proven experience developing and owning production services and applications deployed in AWS or GCP, leveraging containers, continuous integration, and codified infrastructure
