- Proven scaling experience. Has scaled an engineering organization from roughly 10 to 50 engineers at an early stage company and understands the challenges that come with rapid growth
- Deep technical credibility. A hands on engineering leader with strong experience across modern backend systems, cloud infrastructure, platform architecture, and systems at scale
- An exceptional talent builder. Has a track record of identifying, recruiting, developing, and retaining high caliber engineers and views recruiting as a core part of the job
- Strong product and business judgment. Has owned a product line end to end and understands how engineering decisions connect to customer needs, product outcomes, and company growth
