About the role
Muon seeks an Operations and Automation Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will be at the forefront of our satellite and specialty sensing operations, ensuring the seamless functioning, monitoring, and maintenance of our fleet of satellites in space. Your primary responsibility will be designing and implementing automation solutions related to monitoring and maintaining the health and safety of satellites on orbit.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of project or industry experience operating or automating complex systems
- Experience with Python, Julia, or another high-level scripting language
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure
- Ability to work independently and in a team, take initiative, and communicate effectively

Muon seeks an Operations and Automation Engineer to join our Engineering team. You will be at the forefront of our satellite and specialty sensing operations, ensuring the seamless functioning, monitoring, and maintenance of our fleet of satellites in space. Your primary responsibility will be designing and implementing automation solutions related to monitoring and maintaining the health and safety of satellites on orbit. In addition, you will be responsible for executing satellite operation procedures, troubleshooting anomalies, and implementing corrective actions to ensure optimal performance and longevity of our satellite fleet.
This position can be performed remotely from an approved location.
