About the role
This role owns the answer to two questions the floor asks every morning: what do we build today, and what do we ship today. You will sit between supply chain, business development, production and engineering- converting material availability and customer demand into a daily, weeks’ worth SKU-level build plan that production leads can execute without interpretation. You will also set the daily ship priorities that packout works from. The plan you publish is the plan the factory runs.
What they're looking for
- Attend supply chain and material reviews to establish a clear-to-build picture across a rolling 30-day horizon, by SKU and by constraints
- Publish and maintain a daily, SKU-level production build plan that sequences the right configurations at the right time against material, labor, and test capacity
- Reconcile plan versus actual daily, surface variance the day it occurs, and work with production leadership on recovery plans
- Partner with business development, program management, and logistics to build the daily ship list, and give the packout team clear direction on which orders go out and in what order
- Confirm configuration, accessory content, and documentation requirements are set before an order reaches packout
- Create, release, and track production work orders in MES so the build plan is reflected in the system of record
