About Peak Energy

Peak Energy designs and deploys grid-scale sodium-ion energy storage systems for reliable, lower-cost energy infrastructure. Backed by Eclipse Ventures.

About the role

Peak Energy is looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer to help scale the software backbone behind our grid-scale battery storage systems. Our platform ingests, processes, and surfaces operational data from batteries deployed in the field — turning raw telemetry into the metrics our customers, operations team, and engineering team rely on every day. As Peak grows from pilot deployments to gigawatt-scale production in Sacramento, this platform becomes mission-critical.

What they're looking for

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience with meaningful full-stack, backend, or platform work in production
  • Strong Python skills — backend data processing, automation, scripting
  • Strong SQL skills — PostgreSQL, time-series queries, schema design and migrations
  • Cloud platform experience — Azure preferred, AWS or GCP transferable
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code — Terraform or equivalent tooling
  • Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines — GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar
