About the role

What they're looking for

  • 8+ years in a customer-facing technical role (Systems Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Media Solutions Engineer) at a software, storage, or tech company, including 4+ years focused on media and entertainment
  • Track record leading complex pre-sales engagements end to end, with results you can point to
  • Working knowledge of the tools customers use day to day: editorial (Avid, Premiere), VFX (Nuke, After Effects, Flame), 3D and rendering (Maya, Cinema 4D), color (DaVinci Resolve), or sports broadcast platforms
  • Strong grounding in unstructured data storage for media: file system performance, metadata, collaborative access, and high-throughput I/O, including NFS, SMB, and object
  • Comfort engaging creative, technical, and executive audiences in the same room
  • Background in episodic TV, film, advertising, sports broadcast, gaming, or streaming production

Qumulo's cloud data platform manages exabytes of the world's most demanding data, unifying files, objects, and every workload across edge, core, and cloud.

This is the technical lead focusing on Qumulo's media, entertainment, gaming, and sports accounts. You'll partner with Sales and customers across the full cycle, from discovery through proof-of-concept, designing storage and workflow architectures for some of the most demanding content production environments in the industry.

The work is hands-on with the people doing the work: technical directors, post supervisors, pipeline engineers, and IT teams running editorial, VFX, rendering, and live broadcast pipelines. You'll translate their workflow requirements into solutions that hold up at 4K/8K, high frame rates, and multi-site collaboration.
