Red Ventures is currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This person will be responsible for the financial accounting and analysis for Lonely Planet, one of Red Ventures’ high growth business units within the travel industry. Ideal candidates will possess a fun, positive, energetic attitude and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
What they're looking for
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- 3+ years of relevant experience and demonstrable success as indicated by progressively more responsible roles
- Proficiency utilizing financial systems and reporting packages
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of public company accounting and reporting
- Experience with Workday, NetSuite and MySQL, a plus

Red Ventures is currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This person will be responsible for the financial accounting and analysis for Lonely Planet, one of Red Ventures’ high growth business units within the travel industry. This position will have an immediate impact on Lonely Planet through collaborative work with multiple cross-functional teams to complete recurring month-end close activities, problem solve, and make process improvements.
*This role is open to remote or hybrid candidates (East Coast preference), with hybrid being central to our Charlotte area office. Must be able to work Eastern Standard Time hours.
- Perform revenue close procedures on-time and in accordance with US GAAP, including revenue and deferred revenue journal entries, account reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses
- Prepare a wide variety of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
