About the role

This position is responsible for leading the inventory and cost accounting function, ensuring accurate valuation of raw materials, work in process, and finished goods across recycling and energy operations. The role owns costing, inventory reserves, and variance analysis, and partners with Operations, and FP&A to explain cost drivers and margin performance.

What they're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, CPA or CMA preferred
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including inventory and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment, with prior experience leading or supervising others
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP as applied to inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis
  • Experience with ERP and costing systems (e.g., D365, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills, including work with large data sets
  • Ability to analyze information, interpret data, and support decision-making and problem-solving
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial results to non-financial stakeholders
