Relativity Space builds reusable rockets that make access to space more reliable and routine—empowering science, exploration, and innovation beyond our planet. Backed by General Catalyst, Y Combinator and Lux.
About the role
Joining Relativity means becoming part of something where autonomy, ownership, and impact exist at every level. Here, you're not just executing tasks; you're solving problems that haven’t been solved before, helping develop a rocket, a factory, and a business from the ground up. Whether you’re in propulsion, manufacturing, software, avionics, or a corporate function, you’ll collaborate across teams, shape decisions, and see your work come to life in record time.
What they're looking for
- Significant experience (typically 8+ years) building production web applications, with deep TypeScript and React expertise
- A track record owning a frontend platform, design system, or large shared codebase that other teams depend on
- Strong frontend performance skills: profiling, render optimization, and keeping complex UIs responsive under heavy, continuous data
- Experience architecting state management and data flow for data-intensive apps (e.g., Redux, streaming/WebSocket data, Web Workers)
- Ability to set cross-team architecture and technical direction, and mentor senior engineers
